SHORT PRESS RELEASE
John Watts’ 41-year career includes 20 albums and over 3000 concerts worldwide, spanning the UK, US and continental Europe. John’s band Fischer-Z have performed to crowds of 167,000 alongside James Brown in East Berlin and toured with both The Police and Dire Straits. In terms of recordings, Peter Gabriel, Steve Cropper and Dexy’s Midnight Runners have all contributed to recordings. 2017 saw Fischer-Z's return and the release of John's 20th album ‘Building Bridges’. Thanks to it's success, Fischer-Z played to crowds reminiscent of the 79' - 82' hay day. Selling 10,000 tickets in Germany last autumn and selling out both De Roma, Antwerp (1800) and the Paradiso, Amsterdam (1500). After rebuilding the key territories in 2017, 2018 has seen Fischer-Z build other territories like the UK, France, Switzerland, Spain and Portugal. 2018 also saw the release of their ground breaking 'F Card' product and concept. 2019 brings the start of the original Fischer-Z album anniversaries (40 years) and we have big plans. Fischer-Z will play their biggest club show for 30 years in the Ronda at the Tivoli, Utrecht to celebrate '40 Years Of The Worker' alongside tours and festivals across Europe. If that wasn't enough, recording has begun with the whole band for the next Fischer-Z album, to be released in 2019. The first single to be released at the end of 2018. See links below, thanks.
